Quote
How much does a car GPS tracker cost in Tunisia?
It depends on the vehicle, the plan and the options. Ask for a quote online and we reply in under an hour, with fitting at your door, the platform and support included. No hidden costs.
Is the quote really free?
Yes, free and with no commitment. We call you to understand what you need, then send the quote on WhatsApp or by email.
Is there an offer for several vehicles?
Yes. From 5 vehicles, we look at your fleet and the options that make sense (fuel sensor, driver identification) and make you a fleet offer.
Installation
Will it damage my car or affect the warranty?
No. The tracker connects without cutting any original wiring and comes out cleanly if you sell the car. We can fit it in your next one if you like.
How long does fitting take?
About 45 minutes per vehicle, testing included. For a fleet, two technicians can fit around ten vehicles in a morning.
Can you see the tracker inside the car?
No. It sits behind the dashboard and runs off the vehicle’s battery. Nothing shows inside the car.
Platform
Where do I follow my vehicles?
On the NavUp platform: in your computer’s browser and in the iPhone and Android app. Both are in English, French and Arabic.
I already have trackers on another platform. Can I switch to NavUp?
Tell us which trackers you use. We check whether they can be connected to NavUp. If not, we offer a planned replacement, one vehicle at a time, with no break in tracking.
How many people can follow the vehicles?
As many as you like. Each user has their own login, and you choose which vehicles they see and which alerts they get.
Can I export the reports?
Yes, to PDF and Excel. Weekly reports are also emailed to you automatically every Monday.
Using it
GPS, jps, jepies, جبياس: is it the same thing?
Yes. In Tunisia, people often write GPS the way they say it: “jps”, “jepies”, “gep”, or “جي بي اس” and “جبياس” in Arabic. They all mean the same thing: a tracker fitted in the vehicle that sends its location to the NavUp platform and app.
What if a thief finds the tracker and unplugs it?
It’s hidden, and the Anti-theft plan has a 8 h backup battery. The tracker keeps sending its location and you get an alert the moment it’s unplugged.
Is the engine cut-off dangerous?
No. The command only works when the vehicle is going slower than 20 km/h. At normal speed, it waits for the vehicle to slow down.
What happens if there’s no network?
The tracker stores its locations and sends them as soon as the network comes back. The trip stays complete on the platform.
Does the GPS drain the battery?
No. It uses very little power and goes to sleep when the vehicle is parked. A car can stay parked for several weeks without a problem.
Legal
Can I track my employees’ vehicles?
Yes, if you tell them in writing beforehand, as required by Organic Law No. 2004-63 on the protection of personal data. We give you a template information note for them to sign.
Does a rental agency have to tell its customers?
Yes. Mention the GPS tracking in the rental contract and on a sticker inside the car. We can give you a template clause.
